2nd Award For Craig Wilson & His Development At Upton, Caldbeck

Craig has already won a seal of excellance for the attention to detail achieved on this development from the NHBC and has now been recognised by Allerdale Bourough Council and put forward for the best new housing development award, the event is to be held on Friday evening the 5th of June 2015 at the Hilton Hotel, Gateshead, Newscastle.

Criag has worked for the family run business for more than 14 years from leaving school. Craigs grandfather Mr Joseph Lattimer founded the business in 1970 and he still plays an active role in the running of the business to this day.

The development comprises of three number detatched dormer bungalows and associated external works. The site is in the heart of the Lake District National Park and as such the materials used on this development and the style of property to both complement and enhance the local vernacular was of great importance to both the planning authority and the developer. The external materials used consisted of not only traditional Lakeland slate and red sandstone walling but also incorporated western red Ceder cladding and an opaque stain to all the external woodwork giving it a modern twist.

We all wish Craig well for the 5th June and hope he receives the further recognition he deserves for this exceptional development.
