Craig Wilson, Cumbria’s only regional winner

Lattimer Homes site manager Craig Wilson was Cumbria’s only regional winner at the 2017 Pride In The Job Awards at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester.

Craig triumphed at the National House Building Council’s annual north west awards in the category for companies constructing up to 50 homes a year. His success was for the quality of work on a superb six-bedroom detached house we have built on the site of the former Lime House School at Greensyke in Cumdivock near Dalston.

Craig is the fourth different site manager from Lattimer Homes to have taken the regional award in recent years, following Barry Pattinson, Shaun Forrester and George Lattimer.

Craig, 32, now goes through to the UK final in London in January when he will be hoping to emulate Shaun and George, who both went on to win the NHBC’s national Pride In The Job award, George winning it a record nine times. Craig said, “It is about attention to detail, going through the build as if it is going to be your own home and of course having consistently good tradesmen around you all the time and the confidence and belief in them”.
